The sixth session of the press conference on China's biggest large enterprises and China's top 500 Competitive large enterprises was held ceremoniously by National Bureau of Statistics in Beijing in September 2006. On this conference, Hangyang Group was announce to be the 740th enterprise of China's top 1000 large enterprises, as well as the 280th enterprise of China's top 500 Competitive large enterprises of the year 2006.

The ranked results of China's top 500 Competitive large enterprises released on this conference are based on the main factors which affect the competitive power of enterprises. These factors are divided into two categories, capability indexes and mechanism indexes. The capability indexes are comprised of total 47 indexes covering existence, development and potential categories, while the mechanism indexes are comprised of total 11 indexes covering discipline, decision-making, motivation and innovation categories. Every of these factors is therefore scientifically weighted to get the final competitive index of each enterprise.
